The very first residents of Lincoln’s brand-new Charterholme neighbourhood are preparing to spend their first Christmas in their new homes.
Two properties are now occupied and several others are under reservation as interest in the development continues to grow.
Work on the initial 52 homes in Phase One is well under way, with the first 19 properties nearing completion and the remaining homes across the newly constructed road beginning to take shape.

Rebecca Hurst-Miller, Director at Lindum Homes, said: “It’s a wonderful feeling to know that families will be celebrating their first Christmas in their new homes at Charterholme. Moments like this really bring the development to life and mark the start of a vibrant new community in Lincoln. We’re thrilled to welcome more residents in the months ahead.”
Prospective buyers can still explore the development by visiting the site’s showhome, offering an early glimpse of the design quality and sustainable features that define Charterholme. The Taylor, a stylish four-bedroom, three-storey property, has been carefully styled by the Lindum Homes interiors team in collaboration with local suppliers and retailers. It showcases modern layouts, energy-saving technology, and attention to detail that characterise the new homes.
Charterholme, formerly part of Lincoln’s Western Growth Corridor, is being developed in partnership with City of Lincoln Council. It is set to become a thriving, well-connected neighbourhood. Phase One, known as One at Charterholme, features a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom terraced and detached homes, designed to meet the needs of families, first-time buyers, and professionals alike.
Sustainability is at the heart of the development. Every home achieves high EPC ‘B’ ratings for energy performance and ‘A’ for environmental impact. Standard features include solar PV panels, air source heat pumps, and EV charging points, ensuring a future-proofed, gas-free lifestyle. Each property also offers dedicated parking, with selected plots including garages.
Inside The Taylor showhome, visitors can see how flexible layouts support modern living. Spread across three storeys, the home includes a generous lounge, open-plan kitchen diner, cloak/utility area, family bathroom, and two bedrooms on the first floor. The top floor hosts two double bedrooms with a Jack and Jill en-suite—ideal for families, home offices, or hosting guests during the festive season.
“This is more than just a housing development,” added Rebecca. “It’s the beginning of a community where families and individuals can make memories, starting with their first Christmas in their new home. We’re delighted to welcome people to experience our showhome at Charterholme, where sustainability, comfort, and style come together.”
The showhome and sales office are open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
